Terms
The terms that apply when you use this website, and when you commission design, editing or publishing work from us.

Who we are
This website is run by Tingle Press, an independent publisher based in London, United Kingdom. You can reach us at info@tingle.press.
Buying our books
We don't sell books through this website. Our books are sold by retailers, and the buy links on each book page take you to them. When you buy there, your contract is with that retailer, under their terms: payment, delivery, cancellation and refunds are all theirs to handle. If something goes wrong, tell us anyway and we'll help where we can.
Commissioning our services
Design, editing and publishing work starts with an email. We'll agree in writing what we're doing, what it costs and when it starts, before any work begins. Nothing on this website is a fixed quote, and a description of a service is not an offer to do it.
- You keep copyright in your manuscript. Nothing you send us changes who owns your work.
- When the work is finished and paid for, the files we make for you are yours to use for that book.
- We may name the project and show the finished cover as an example of our work, unless you ask us not to.
- Paying for services never buys a place on the Tingle Press list. Books we publish are chosen separately.
Sending us a manuscript
We're not open to unsolicited submissions for publication. If you send us a manuscript anyway, we treat it as confidential, but we can't promise to read it or reply, and we're not liable for material sent to us unasked.
Using this website
The text, images and design of this site belong to Tingle Press and our authors. Share links freely and quote short passages with credit. For anything more, see rights and permissions. We link to other websites for convenience and aren't responsible for what's on them.
Our responsibility to you
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, and where you commission us as a business, we aren't liable for lost profit, lost sales or lost opportunity. Nothing here limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The terms that apply to a commission are the ones we agreed with you in writing at the time.
