Gravity Doesn't Vote: Why Almost Everything Else Does, by Nima Golsharifi, is published by Tingle Press on 28 November 2026.
It arrives in four editions at once: hardback, paperback, ebook and audiobook, available from bookshops and online retailers. The print editions run to 252 pages at 6 by 9 inches.
Retailer links will go on the book page as soon as it can be ordered, and the mailing list will hear first.
It begins in Bucharest on 21 December 1989, when Nicolae Ceaușescu came out on the balcony to speak to a crowd that had been bused in to cheer him. Four days later he had been shot, though he had lost nothing you could count. A fact had died, and what it died of was disbelief.
From there the book sets out a ten-second test for any fact you rely on and a hardness scale for the results, from talc at the bottom to diamond at the top, and asks who hardens a fact, who is paid to soften one, and what the machines in your pocket are doing to the scale.
Some things do not take a vote. This book is about everything else.
