Wimbledon BookFest runs from 15 to 25 October 2026, with more than 100 events over ten days. Founded in 2006 by the arts journalists Tony Kane and Fiona Razvi, it is run by a registered charity and draws more than 20,000 people each October.
The 2026 programme includes Ben Okri, Gwendoline Riley and David Szalay in conversation with Chris Power, M. John Harrison, Mary Lawson, Janina Ramirez, and a joint event with Ashley Hickson-Lovence and Luke Kennard, alongside talks from broadcasters, scientists and sports figures and a storytelling afternoon of African and Caribbean tales.
Beyond the festival, the organisation runs a schools programme and a Young Writers Competition, and gives away copies of an annual Festival Read with Merton Libraries.
