Spineless Wonders was a free exhibition at Senate House Library, open from 18 June to 29 November 2025 on the fourth floor of Senate House. Its subject was the publication without a spine: items that are stapled, sewn, folded or printed on a single sheet, and so fall outside the usual definition of a book.

Drawing on the Library's own holdings, the display ranged from political pamphlets and manifestos to popular prints and limited-edition artists' works, covering some five centuries of printing. These are fragile, often ephemeral things, and many survive only because someone recognised their value at the time.

For anyone who makes zines, chapbooks or small-press pamphlets, it offered a long view of the form and of the social, political and creative work that cheap, quick printing has always done. An online version of the exhibition remains available on the University of London's exhibitions site.
