The London Book Fair is the largest spring gathering of the international book trade, organised by the events company RX. The 2025 fair ran for three days at Olympia London in Kensington.
Its International Rights Centre is where much of the business happens, with agents and publishers meeting to sell and buy rights for the year ahead. The halls hold exhibitors from across publishing, and the seminar programme covers subjects from getting published and pitching to agents through to production, sales and the wider direction of the industry.
It is most useful for rights staff, agents and publishers, but writers get a good deal from the author-focused sessions, and small publishers and service providers can learn a great deal in a single day. It is a trade event rather than a public one, so readers are not its audience.
