The Jaipur Literature Festival returns for its 20th edition from 14 to 18 January 2027 at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur. It is produced by Teamwork Arts, with the writers Namita Gokhale and William Dalrymple as festival directors.
The festival is known for its breadth: fiction and poetry sit alongside history, politics, science and current affairs, with writers from India and around the world. In recent editions it has run alongside Jaipur BookMark, a business strand for publishers, agents and translators, as well as a music stage and evening events.
It is best suited to readers and writers who want to hear a wide range of authors in person. Publishers and rights people interested in South Asian markets and translation should look at the Jaipur BookMark programme.
