Henley Literary Festival is held every autumn in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, and describes itself as one of the UK's leading literary festivals. Alongside the main festival it runs pop-up events through the year.
The 2026 festival runs from 2 to 11 October, in person in Henley and online. The programme is grouped by subject, including fiction, history, life stories, lifestyle, nature, health and science, politics, sport and true stories, with livestreamed events, a festival bookshop and a schools programme with children's authors.
It suits readers who like a friendly, mid-sized festival, especially those drawn to non-fiction, and families looking for children's author events.
