Hay Festival Winter Weekend is the seasonal counterpart to Hay Festival's spring edition, held in the Welsh booktown of Hay-on-Wye near Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.
The 2026 edition runs from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 November. The festival describes a programme of author conversations, performances, workshops, music and comedy, with candle-lit storytelling and seasonal events in the town, including the switching on of the Christmas lights in the Market Square.
