Green Libraries Week is CILIP's annual campaign celebrating the climate and sustainability work of public, academic, specialist and health libraries in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The 2025 edition ran from Monday 27 October to Sunday 2 November under the theme Seeds of Change: Make a Difference with Your Library. It opened with the Green Libraries Conference on 27 October at the British Library Knowledge Centre in London, which brought together library staff, sustainability specialists and community partners.
Libraries were offered toolkits, a resource bank and a new self-assessment tool to plan community activity. Readers can take part by joining events at their local library, and organisations can support the Green Libraries Manifesto.
