Goldsmiths, University of London, has published the key dates for the 2026 Goldsmiths Prize. The shortlist is announced on 30 September 2026 and the winner on 4 November 2026.
The prize awards £10,000 to a novel judged genuinely new in form and spirit. This year's judges are Kate Briggs, Hari Kunzru, David Sexton and Francis Spufford, who chairs the panel.
Past shortlists have regularly included books from independent presses, so the prize is worth following for readers and publishers interested in formally adventurous writing, including fiction that uses speculative ideas.
