Firsts London is the rare book fair presented by the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association under the auspices of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers. The 2027 fair takes place at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, opening with an invitation-only preview on the evening of 20 May, followed by public days on 21, 22 and 23 May 2027.
Dealers bring first editions, manuscripts, letters and ephemera, and the fair is pitched both at serious collectors and at readers who simply enjoy browsing old and second-hand books. The 2026 fair's charity partner was Senate House Library.
For writers and publishers, it is a chance to see at close hand how books have been designed, printed and bound over several centuries, and to talk to specialists who handle them every day.
