The Festival du Livre de Paris returns to the Grand Palais from 16 to 18 April 2027. It is organised by Paris Livres Événements, a subsidiary of the Syndicat national de l'édition, and continues the tradition of the Salon du Livre, which began at the Grand Palais in 1981.
In recent editions the festival has brought together several hundred French-language publishers with author talks, signings, exhibitions and a strong children's and young adult programme, and it has set aside one day for talks aimed at the book trade. The programme for 2027 is announced on the festival's site.
It is mainly an event for readers. Publishers, agents and translators interested in French-language books will find it a good way to see the market and its authors in one place.
