Eastercon is the annual national science fiction convention for the UK and Ireland, held over the Easter weekend and run by volunteers. The 76th Eastercon took place in Belfast from 18 to 21 April 2025, the first time the convention had been held on the island of Ireland.
The convention used the Hilton Belfast and the adjoining Belfast ICC, the same site as the 2019 Belfast Eurocon. Guests of honour were Lauren Beukes, Derek Landy, Ian McDonald, Jeannette Ng, Rebecca Roanhorse and Will Simpson.
Eastercon usually hosts the British Science Fiction Association Awards, and its programme of panels, readings and workshops makes it one of the easiest ways for new writers to meet readers, editors and other authors in the genre.
