The 2026 programme included Ben Macintyre in conversation with Charles Cumming and Jacqueline Wilson discussing her novel Esme Pepper. It opened with a Local Author Showcase at the George IV pub, where twenty authors each had two minutes to present their book, and the festival also runs a Young Poets Competition.
The organisers have announced that the next festival will take place from 8 to 13 September 2027.
