Cambridge Literary Festival is a charity that began as Cambridge Wordfest in 2003. It holds a spring festival and, since 2008, a shorter winter festival, with events in venues across the city including the Cambridge Union, colleges and the Central Library.
The 2025 winter festival took place over the weekend of Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November, with author talks across the festival's usual range of subjects, from fiction and memoir to history, science and current affairs. Some events were available to watch as livestreams, and a share of concession tickets was held back for general sale.
It suits readers who want a short, focused weekend of talks in the run-up to Christmas, and anyone who prefers to watch from home.
