Cambridge Literary Festival is a charity that began as Cambridge Wordfest in 2003. It holds a spring festival and, since 2008, a shorter winter festival, with events in venues across the city including the Cambridge Union, colleges and the Central Library.
The 2026 spring festival ran from Wednesday 22 to Sunday 26 April, with venues including the Arts Theatre, the Cambridge Union, Newnham and Pembroke Colleges, the Old Divinity School and Cambridge Central Library, plus online events. Alongside the main programme there were children's and schools events, and recordings are available through the festival's CLF Player.
It suits readers who like a compact city festival, families, and writers who want to hear authors discuss new fiction and non-fiction in some depth.
