The 64th Bologna Children's Book Fair takes place from 5 to 8 April 2027 at the Bologna exhibition centre, organised by BolognaFiere. Poland is the Guest of Honour, with exhibitions and events at the fair and around the city.
As in recent years, the fair is a three-in-one event: the children's book fair, BolognaBookPlus for general trade publishing, and the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids. Publishers, agents, illustrators, authors, licensors and producers meet to trade rights and find new work, and the Illustrators Exhibition and BolognaRagazzi Awards return, with submission deadlines published on the fair's site.
It is the key date for anyone working in children's publishing, including illustrators hoping to be seen by art directors. General trade publishers and agents can also use BolognaBookPlus. It is a professional fair rather than a public one.
