Bologna Children's Book Fair 2026

The 63rd Bologna Children's Book Fair ran for four days at the Bologna exhibition centre, with Norway as Guest of Honour. Organised by BolognaFiere, it is the main international meeting point for children's and young adult publishing.

The fair runs together with BolognaBookPlus, which covers general trade publishing, and the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids. Visitors come for rights meetings, the Illustrators Exhibition, the BolognaRagazzi Awards and a busy programme of talks on writing, illustration, translation and the market. The organiser reported 32,652 professional visitors.

It is most useful for children's publishers, agents, illustrators and translators. Small publishers with a general list can also find rights partners through BolognaBookPlus. It is a trade event and is not open to the general public.
